Where Did The Bulls Go?

Tuesday, 19. December 2006

Some may be asking what happened to the bull market? In a word, "nothing". Markets normally take a break after making multi year highs which is the case at this moment. Now isn't the time to add new positions but maintain the positions you are  currently in although they may have lossed some value. Of course this assumes your holdings are solid and nothing material has happened since the position was initiated. The chart below shows the S&P 500 Futures Market in a strong uptrend that has resulted in multi year highs.

Scan the market and continue adding to your watchlist. When support is found in the overall market it may be an opportunity to add more positions from your watchlist. 75% of the the market moves in the direction of the overall market. Put another way, we wouldn't want to be short in a market that is going up and making new highs.
