Election Noise Doesn't Change The Markets

Wednesday, 08. November 2006

The mid term elections are over! Th the outcome being pretty much as advertised. The democrats get the House and struggle to control the Senate. There are two close elections still being decided making the Senate a dead heat as of this writing. What does this mean for the market?

Markets don't like surprises and there were none here. Expect the market to show its relief and continue its bullish tendencies. There will likely be a period of price fluctuation as new legislation is thrown about the media from the democrats new House majority. By all means, stick to your plan and maintain an active watchlist. History has shown the markets are independent of the party in charge. The media says otherwise, but history tells the truth.
