S&P 500 Futures Blows The Lid Off Resistance In Strong Volume

Tuesday, 10. January 2006

After slicing through multi-year highs the S&P 500 futures market just kept on going headed to the next barrier at 1300. All the major indexes and markets are behaving in similar fashion with new highs.  With all of this bullish sentiment many have asked, why aren't we long yet? As tempting as it seems to jump in based on the previous days rise, its not a high probability trade. Consider these highs are 4 year highs which make this behavior somewhat atypical. And most importantly there was no setup to enter. Excercising patience in these times separate the best traders from the others. Our time will come to get long and we will reap the benefits with the prbabilities greatly in our favor.
