Option Position Continues To Profit But Not Home Free Yet

Thursday, 31. August 2006
Having a winning stock option position beats almost any trade scenario except it hasn't moved far enough to profit. The surge of buying that took the market up will wane as all surges do. If support isn't found above  entry point it becomes a decision point as to whether it should be held with a paper loss or dumped for the next entry opportunity.

The 20 Method Trading Strategy trades stock options in the direction of the major future indexes which include the S&P 500, Nasdaq, and Russell which all are showing upside bias which keeps us in the trade.

We still hold a sept 15 put on AXL as a hedge, but the underlying is showing alot of strength which may require the hedge to be replaced with a weaker underlying. Overall the position is showing a healthy profit, but just shy of being able to take profits on some of the position.
