Civil engineering technician (Engineering Technician III -Data Management)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: $20.59 to $23.67 Hourly for 36.25 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: City of Brandon, Manitoba (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not applicable
Experience: Experience an asset
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Area of Specialization: Municipal, Construction design and supervision, Highways and transportation, Water resources, Geotechnical, Land development
Type of Civil Engineering Experience: Drainage and irrigation systems, Pipelines, Roads and highways, Sewers and sewage treatment facilities, Water control systems and structures
Computer Systems: CAE - computer-aided engineering, GIS - geographic information system, GPS - global positioning system
Specific Skills: Prepare working drawings, Prepare project schedules, Inspect construction sites and materials, Conduct field surveys, Test soils and other materials
Additional Skills: Read blueprints, Estimate costs and materials, Know and use computer hardware and software
Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning
