Long haul truck driver

 Salary: $48,000.00 to $60,000.00 Yearly for 50 hours per week, Other Benefits

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A), Driver's Licence (Class 3 or D), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
Experience: 1 - 2 years

Type of Trucking and Equipment: Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles), Tractor-trailer, Tractor-trailer A train, Tractor-trailer B train

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trans-border documentation, Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports, Accident or incident reports

Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Plan travel schedules and routes, Use atlases and other trip planning aids, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, Drive lighter, special purpose trucks, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Perform brake adjustments, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness, Perform preventive maintenance
