Developmental service worker (Residential Support Worker)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Part Time, Weekend, Night, Evening
Salary: $9.50 Hourly for 16 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Winnipeg and Area, Manitoba (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Human Services Diploma, Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate, First Aid Certificate
Experience: Will train
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Work Setting: Group home
Target Groups or Clients: Persons with intellectual disabilities, Persons with physical disabilities, Persons with learning disabilities
Specific Skills: Develop, coordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community, Resolve conflict situations, Provide personal services support to persons with special needs
Additional Skills: Housekeeping activities, Food preparation
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Physically demanding
Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available
Work Location Information: Work in employer's/client's home
Security and Safety: Criminal record check (abstract)
