Nowadays, we are met with serious environmental and oil-resource problems. It is urgent to find satisfactory solutions to the problems. The fuel cell (FC) is thought to be one of the best solutions if it is developed to satisfactry economical levels. To reach swiftly such solutions, it is required to accelerate the FC development on a global scale. This necessitates swift and worldwide propagation of information on newly developed FC technologies. In this circumstance, we will contribute to promotion of swift and worldwide spread of such information though our ability is limited.

Decided to Construct New Plant for Manufacturing Fuel-Cell Separators

 Nisshinbo Industries, Inc. has a plan to construct fuel-cell separator
manufacturing plant in Kanto area.
Decision to construct will be formally made by this summer.
It is said that Chiba area will be the location to construct the new plant.
The research/development base of the company is located in this area.
The company has already the cell-production plant in Aichi prefecture.
The company increased the production capacity of the plant
from 2,000,000 separators/year to 4,000,000 separators/year
at the end of the last year (or in the beginning of this year (?)),
by automating the production line.
The company actively takes actions to increase the fuel-cell
separator production.
This is due to the fact that the separator production will increase
from the next year in all possibility.
As known, in Japan the industries in those fields will enter the pre-stage
of mass producing the residential fuel cell cogeneration systems
in the next year (2009).
