One of Italy's most prestigious vineyards, Fontanafredda, has been put up for sale by the bank which owns it.

"Fontanafredda can be sold," said Giuseppe Mussari, the president of the Bank of Monte dei Paschi di Siena. "It is not strategic, or useful to our core business," he added.
