TRADITIONAL FOOD PRODUCTS FROM UMBRIA PRESENTED IN ROME

Bread will be the protagonist of a 2-day event organised in Rome and aimed at presenting the best food products from the province of Terni. The event will be held at Palazzo Rospigliosi. Among the well-known sorts of bread from this area, the famous unsalted bread of Terni is especially appreciated by experts. However, the province of Terni is also known for other products including its high-quality extra virgin olive oil, its wine produced by a number of companies, all of them represented during the event, cheese and cold cuts. In this area of region Umbria, high-quality water and legumes (such as lentils and the so-called 'cicerchie') are extremely important to traditional cooking. The event will feature also exhibitions of handicraft products and tourist proposals for Romans
