Finding an investment property in Italy may well become easier as a result of the new summer schedule from Italian airline Air One.
The private airline will operate twice-daily flights from London City Airport to the city centres of both Rome and Milan.
From these two cities, travellers will have access to a range of connections, including flights to Sardinia, Calabria, Puglia and Sicily.
Check-in times at London City Airport can be as short as 20 minutes, the airline pointed out, and passengers will have access to Air One's Italian network which covers 23 destinations.
Calabria was recently tipped as a current investor hotspot in the Italian property market by Andy Welland, a spokesperson for Propertyshowrooms.com.
While it was "a really good market", he said, investors were advised to get into south Italy quickly as prices were set to reach levels similar to that of Spain within the next two to three years.
