The Algarve’s annual summer entertainment programme, controversially named ‘Allgarve’, is once again about to kick off and this year promises to be bigger and better than ever, comprising a number of international names, divided into six separate categories; contemporary arts, music, jazz, sports, entertainment and gastronomy.
Each category has its own individual programme, this year for the first time, an unprecedented investment being injected into the Allgarve Jazz line-up.With names including Herbie Hancock, Dee Dee Bridgewater and Freddy Cole, the event has stirred worldwide interest, already receiving international press coverage from acclaimed jazz-dedicated magazines like ‘Downbeat’.
Staying within the musical context, other big names like Simply Red, Diana Krall, Lou Reed, and Brazilian star Vanessa da Mata will also be performing on stages around the region.
International golf and sailing tournaments will be bringing.......
