Golf in Portugal to get 50 Million Euro Investment; Masters Event Planned for October

Golf opportunities in Portugal are growing at a rapid pace, with the industry expecting a 21 percent increase in the next two to three years, according to ITP-Turismo de Portugal. In early January, tourism officials announced a plan for a 50 million Euro investment of public and private funds in promoting golf throughout Portugal. The expansion is expected to enhance Portugal's growing reputation as a premier golf destination.
