THE ALGARVE has been named ‘Best Golf Destination in the World’ by Rheingolf magazine, the leading golf magazine in Germany’s Rhineland region. The announcement was made at the Rheingolf exhibition in Cologne last weekend, where the Associação de Turismo do Algarve (ATA) was promoting the region. The award serves to consolidate the Algarve’s image as an ideal destination for playing golf, not only among the German public and travel industry professionals, but also on an international level.
