Game Fishing Recipes - Webber's Fishing Lodges - Manitoba Walleye Northern Pike - Fishing Outposts

Tuesday, 15. July 2008
t’s sometimes amazing what you can find written about you (or your fishing lodge) on the Web!  While surfing recently we were alerted to an article that appeared in The Dallas Morning News. The article mentioned North Knife Lake Lodge as one of the top 10 places to find authentic Canadian food.  Webber's Lodges have an international reputation for fabulous food, but it was still a pleasant surpise!

Our award-winning cookbook authors and lodge chefs Helen Webber, Marie Woolsey and Dave Schellenberg have developed an outrageously good collection of recipes for the breakfasts, brunches, snacks and dinners served at the lodges. The recipes are featured in a series of cookbooks entitled: Blueberries and Polar Bears, Cranberries and Canada Geese, Black Currants and Caribou, Icebergs and Belugas and the Wild and Wonderful cookbook series.

Teaming with delicious fish recipes, wild game recipes and more, the cookbooks are available at: http://www.blueberriesandpolarbears.com/cookbooks/index.htm You'll also find a selection of recipes online at: http://www.blueberriesandpolarbears.com/recipes/archive.htm.

Make sure to check out the delicious Crusted Caribou Tenderloin with Mushroom and Red Wine Reduction. And speaking of caribou, make sure to read our next blog post. A few rare caribou hunting spots have opened up at Webber's Lodges for the fall hunt!
