ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) Walleye tournaments are popular in South Dakota, but one of the most popular fishing tournaments in the state involves a not-so-popular fish: carp.
The 25th annual Carp Masters Tournament in Brown County next weekend has filled all 50 teams and even has a waiting list.
Nearly 1,800 carp were caught in the contest last year weighing a total of 12,000 pounds.
The largest carp tipped the scale at 16 pounds.
