All ice fishing shelters must clearly display the owner’s name and address. Ice fishing shelters must be removed by March 13 on the Red River, by March 31 in the rest of the Southern Division and by April 15 in the Northwest, North Central and Northeast Divisions, or when requested to do so by a Natural Resource Officer due to unsafe ice conditions. Shelters must be stored or disposed of away from the shore and on private property. Manitoba Conservation Parks Branch requires that ice fishing shelters in provincial parks meet size, location and use standards. For more information including specific details, please contact your local Manitoba Conservation Office.
