Dip Netting and Seining Restrictions

General regulations on dip netting and seining can be found on the previous post. No dip netting or seining is allowed in any stocked trout waters. In Nopiming and Whiteshell Provincial Parks, and the Rennie River near Rennie, dip netting and seining for suckers and all species other than bait fish are prohibited year round.

Some streams are closed to all fishing (including dip netting) in spring to prevent damage to spawning fish and eggs.

Check for spring closures by stream or lake name in the following section.
