I am very thankful to Publishamerica for giving me the chance to have a published book out on the market in places like Amazon and Barnes and Noble and wherever. I have gotten very nice feedback from reviewers and from people who visit my website. So let me say again I am thankful and I support Publishamerica. I have made this known countless times on countless boards.
There are some issues that I do not understand or agree with as in anything if you have your own free mind you will question some practices and things of this nature. I am thankful but I cannot be a blind follower for any cause or institution except the teachings of God himself.
I have issues that cause conflict within myself about some things and I have made them known and on other boards many who are just out to trash respond to my concerns and questions by saying very unkind and nasty remarks about Publishamerica. I always say I'm thankful to my publisher as I am and just stick to the issue of my concern.
Some will be thoughtful and address the issue at hand and some as always will see a chance to just step in and bash a publisher and an author because they want to feel superior.
I do have questions and concerns about many things such as reviewing and pricing and the sheer number of authors taken on and etc, etc. and some will call you a basher or someone who is not loyal.
This is a bold comparison but in my mind it's like when Pilot sentenced Jesus to death. He listened to the voices of the crowd and what was popular instead of looking inside himself and looking for the truth behind it all. He should have asked more questions and he should have given more care to the case. He should have further investigated. Even after he found no fault in Jesus he washed his hands and sent Jesus to be crucified. So appearances are secondary and the truth is primary and most important. Pilot failed.
I have questioned things and I feel it's right to question and not to bash. I have asked people's opinions and looked into myself and asked myself questions because I want to know what is truth and what is just rhetoric from the crowd.
I have questions still and it seems we dance around them and you're either a loyalist or a basher. Like in the time of Jesus you were either a disciple or a persecutor. Even the disciples ran away and claimed not to know Jesus in this time even though Jesus had no fault.
I say ask questions and find no fault in people who do until you find worthy evidence to feel otherwise about them. You're neither a loyalist or a persecutor that way. You only seek to find out the truth of the matter.
So I just feel we should think and ask questions before we label any authors in any fashion.
