Direct from London, Froe, Gav and Merf make up the nu-skool breaks collective known as The Breakfastaz. They have been working together on a number of musical projects for several years and the wide ranging influences they collectively bring have helped to form their unique breakbeat sound. Their hard work hasn't gone unrecognized, they have been featured on the front cover of IDJ's 'Players Of The Year 2004' December edition and recently winning "Best Breakthrough Act" at the Breakspoll World Breakbeat Awards 2005, as well as a nomination for Best Producers.
With over 17 successful releases and remixes on respected breaks labels such as Passenger and Mob in little over 12 months, their offerings have received support and heavy rotation from scene stalwarts such as Plump DJs, The Freestylers, Tayo, Ali B, Meat Katie, Aquasky, Krafty Kuts and even catching the ear of Seb Fontaine, highlighting the enormous impact they've had on the scene in such a short period of time. To back up their releases, the guys have been DJing worldwide and were also invited to do guest shows and interviews on BBC Radio 1 (Annie Nightingale), Xfm (Eddie Temple-Morris) and Kiss 100 (Tayo), accompanying their weekly shows on Pyrotechnic Radio (Fridays 3-5PM GMT - www.pyrotechnicradio.com) and on Breaks FM (Saturdays 6-8pmPM GMT - www.breaksfm.com).
