There is also a separate cottage on the property which can be rented with the main house to increase capacity for your group. Catering or meal services can be arranged for your group, as well as recommendations for activities on Galiano Island. Professional or executive corporate retreats can be very productive at this relaxing location. Work sessions or artists workshops in the large meeting room (additional cost) can alternate with outdoor activities on the property. The retreat is also a wonderful location for an intimate oceanfront wedding. Wedding packages and planning are available, or choose the home for a fantastic private honeymoon. The retreat is the result of many years of hard work and much love. The main house is built following the principles enounced by the great Californian architect Christopher Alexander in his principal work, "A Pattern Language". The property is a 20 acre enclave in the new Gulf Islands National Park, surrounded by ocean and over 200 acres of protected land. There is an active eagle's nest nearby and numerous deer, seals, sea lions, otters and orcas in the area.
