About Thermochemical (BG-FT) Biorefineries

Sunday, 08. May 2005
Thermochemical or Bio-Gas Fischer-Tropsch (BG-FT) biorefineries can be used to convert a wide variety of biomasses to petroleum like liquids.  The process consists of feedstock processing and handling, gasification, gas cleanup, Fischer-Tropsch liquefication and product refining.  The process  is in early commercial production, but holds great promise to provide a wide variety of products much as a petroleum refinery.
