These include alternative energy, renewable energy, biochemicals, bioenergy, wind power, solar power, photovoltaics, ocean power, ethanol, biodiesel, clean coal power, all electric cars, batteries, hybrid cars, hydrogen, oil natural gas and fuel cells. Peak oil and environmental concerns will be discussed as they relate to these technologies.

France was selected to host a $13 billion experimental nuclear fusion project that scientists hope will produce a clean, safe and endless energy resource and help phase out polluting fossil fuels. The "International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER)" is hopefully the step that will bridge the gap between today’s studies of plasma physics and tomorrow's electricity-producing fusion power plants.
