Panda Builds Ethanol Plants

Panda Energy announced that it will build the third of a planned five 100 million gallon per year ethanol plants in Haskell County, Kansas. The ethanol produced at each plant will be blended with gasoline and replace the equivalent of 2.4 million barrels of imported gasoline each year. The $120 million facility will use bio-gas produced from one billion pounds of cattle manure to produce the steam used in the plant.
