Elements of The Energy Revolution

Sunday, 01. May 2005
To transition through The Energy Revolution several steps must be taken in the short term, the next 1 to 20 years, to mitigate decreases in shortages of oil.  They include increased fuel efficiency standards, incentives to increase adoption of hybrid and plug-in hybrid cars, encouragement of diesel powered cars, development of unconventional sources of energy and increased emphasis on producing biofuels -- ethanol and biodiesel.  If we wait until oil production starts to decline, it will be too late.  Implementation of these mitigation measures must start now!
